Be aware, once you’ve signed up for a chat land site - you are expected to follow all of it’s rules and read all of it’s FAQ’s! If you disobey a rule, consequences will be made.
1.) Lemuria is ages 13+
Lemuria is only for ages 13 and older, but I still want you to be aware of what the content you share in a public room & make sure that it is PG 13 or you’re in the appropriately aged room to share it.
2.) Account Responsibility
Anything that happens on YOUR account means that you are held responsible. No excuses will be permitted, you have control of what happens on your account; and there shouldn’t be any problems unless you let your password “slip” out of your hands to the wrong person. If issues occur with this rule please fill out a problem ticket.
3.) Private Rooms
Administrators on Lemuria (or any chatlands site) do not have any control/responsibility of issues that occur in private rooms. If you do not like the content that is shared in a private area, please leave & don’t bother administrators. The only exception in which a Lemuria administrator can take action of what happens in a private room is if there is a death threat, hack threat, virus threat, a suicide threat, or anything that can absolutely upset & be serious to a minor.
4.) Issues off of Lemuria
Administrators on Lemuria will not be held responsible for issues off of Lemuria or the Lemuria forums. If someone is causing trouble on a different site, you should report that to the owner/moderator of that site.
5.) Three Strikes Policy
The three strikes policy is a MUST and will ALWAYS be followed. A strike can count as the following; warnings on chat, private message sent to your account, being chased/kicked from the room, or an e-mail sent to your account. After the third strike, bans will occur. The amount of time in which you are under a ban depends on which rule was broken, and the seriousness of the situation.
6.) Spamming & Flooding
In a Lemuria public chat room, there is zero tolerance for the following; spamming & flooding. Spamming & flooding will lag users and can just be an annoyance.
User A: 1
User A: 2
User A: 3
User A: 1234567890asdfghjkl
7.) Problem Tickets
Permanent bans can be appealed using Problem Tickets. You will state your situation and the reason why you believe that you deserve to be unbanned. Lemuria Staff will discuss your scenario and an alpha will get back to you once an agreement has been made.
8.) Harassing Administrators
REMEMBER, do not pester the ART to accept poses/rooms, they will ignore you & you will most likely receive a warning. Be patient, the ART is constantly checking poses/rooms and will accept/reject poses as quickly as possible. If there are any problems with your pose (why it was rejected), please contact an ART and they will fix the problem for you to the best of their power. This goes for other administrators too, do not harass them or you will receive a warning. Harassing includes; disturbing the piece, saying something offensive, etc.
Threats are a serious matter on chatlands sites. If you are threatened or see someone threatening another user, please contact the owner/co-owner/alphas. They will take care of it quickly. There is no tolerance for threats and a ban will be placed if you make one towards another user.
Joining Lemuria for the sole purpose of harassing, causing grief, or disturbing the peace, A.K.A “trolling” will result in an immediate ban. A one week ban to a permanent ban will be given to any individual who “trolls” on Lemuria.
11.) False Reports
Even though we expect you to report any suspicious activity you see on Lemuria, we DO NOT encourage you to falsely accuse other users. If you make false reports against another user, we will take action against your account instead. Please be respectful of other users and do not purposely try to get them in trouble if they did nothing wrong.
Irritating or tormenting users of this community is not tolerated and frowned upon. This will never be accepted on Lemuria and any chatlands site. Be careful of what you say, and stop when you realize you are hurting another user.
Lemuria does not permit video recordings in public rooms unless ALL users in the room have given their permission to be recorded. If even one user does not give their consent, the video should be immediately stopped.
Lemuria is 13 and older chat site. But you still have to be in the appropriate room with the necessary age limit to curse. But we do not promote speaking harsh language against another individual, orientation, racial group, political afflicting, etc. If it’s done over three times in one sitting, it is OVER the limit.
15.) Sexual Content
Sexual content is inappropriate in public rooms on Lemuria. Neither is copying sexual positions (with or without the use of avatars/poses) or sexual scenarios or contexts. If you are caught doing so, serious consequences will be taken against your account. Roleplaying sexual acts is to be kept in whisper or appropriate private rooms.
16.) Inappropriate URLs
Inappropriate URLs are not allowed in any circumstances in public rooms on Lemuria. This means any links that open up an inappropriate website. You are held responsible for any content you link on Lemuria. At least a two-week ban will be placed onto any individual that hyperlinks any websites that aren’t necessarily ‘appropriate’ to younger users. Inappropriate URLs include the following; shock sites (scary, pop-ups), content that shows: excessive gore/violence, sexually explicit content, images that can cause epilepsy, and any offensive/unnecessary content, links to illegal downloads, or links promoting the sale of/encouraging illegal activities.
17.) Art Theft
Stealing art that is not permitted for you to use is called art theft. This will NOT be tolerated in any way and you will be immediately banned if caught. Talk to the ART or any other staff member about any concerns you may have.
Remember to ask any member of the Lemuria staff to assist you in clarification of any rules to avoid problems in the future. We hope you have fun chatting!
